PAST STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

Modules/aspects of the course you most enjoyed I enjoyed all the modules as they were all very beneficial and useful. There were many practical elements which I enjoyed doing, such as interviews, dealing with angry customers, checking in passengers for flights, and also how to deal with different scenarios while flying. Good features of the college There are many good features of the college. All the teachers are very supportive and they want the best for all the students. The courses are constantly growing and they are relevant and useful, so now there are many to choose from. Finally the college has great facilities such modern computers and aircraft seats to practise with. Work Experience I really enjoyed my work experience as I found out what it was like to work in the tourism industry, and they even offered me a part time job at the end. This showed me that I had the capabilities to work there and I never would have known that if I had never done my work experience. Where their studies has led you in relation to work and education currently. I am hoping to use my Certificate to get a job in the tourism industry such as in a travel agency or as a Cabin Crew Member with Aer Lingus. I am also considering returning to O’Fiaich College to do another course as I really enjoyed my time there. Overall recommendation for the programme. I would really recommend doing this course if you intend on working in the tourism or airline industry. I now have practical experience in how to be a Cabin Crew Member, there are many practical elements which is great experience, and finally it is a very interesting course where every day you learn something new about tourism and the airline industry.

Aisling Hoey Programme Studied in OFI Airline, Cabin Crew & Tourism Studies Year 2019-2020

I tremendously enjoyed the Cabin Crew aspect of this course. There was never a dull moment. The staff were committed to seeing myself and my classmates reach their full potential. After I graduated I secured a job with Aer Lingus as a Guest Service Agent. I can honestly say I would never have received an interview had I not completed this course. After completing my Leaving Cert in 2016 I rushed into third level education still not knowing what career path I wanted. Doing this PLC in Ó Fiaich allowed me to figure out what I really wanted to do in life and it also allowed me to gain more confidence.
