Ó Fiaich Institute is continuing a comprehensive planning consultation regarding the reopening of the college. With plans well under way for the start of the new academic year, we are looking at various models for reopening based on Government advice.
Our aim is to prioritise face-to-face activity and engage directly where possible. Should restrictions continue, it is likely that a mix of online delivery and face to face engagement will be part of the programme for all students for the first semester running from September to January. All planning has, and will continue to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our students and staff which is of primary importance to the centre.
OFI will also be putting supports in place for prospective learners with a comprehensive induction course for all students planned to support the transition to college. We will ensure that the required and necessary student support system including; career guidance, learning supports and counselling provisions will be available to all learners both in college and remotely.
Prospective learners can be assured that they will be supported in their career pathway and the delivery of all courses will be to the highest standards as normal. All registered students will get further information regarding their induction programme and course commencement in late August. OFI is looking forward to welcoming both new and returning students in early September and we will be taking every step necessary to make your return as simple as possible.
Finally, there are limited places available on a small number of courses for the upcoming year and prospective learners are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as many courses are already oversubscribed.
